Hi, my name is Stuart Lee and I am raising money for the Brain and Spine Foundation by running The Triple Whammy - The London Marathon, Great North Run and New York City Marathon in the same year.
I know from personal experience what it is like to live with a brain condition having had hydrocephalus, more commonly known as water in the brain, since birth. I have a tennis ball sized brain cyst in my head which has caused me considerable pain through severe headaches and sickness.
I also had a brain tumour removed at the age of six and had meningitis at the age of 12. I have had brain surgery 17 times. You can read more by clicking here or selecting the My Story link on the left.
There are 10 million people in the UK living with a neurological condition. They affect all ages and people may experience the onset of a neurological condition at any time in their lives.
The Brain and Spine Foundation is a national charity which aims to improve the quality of life for people with brain and spine conditions and to reduce neurological disability by providing a national focus for information, education and resources.
